Aquron Solutions have been developed following the perception that so many concrete problems could be overcome by preventing water and corrosives entering and percolating through concrete.
Aquron solutions are unique in their ‘mode of action’ within concrete. Free alkali or alkali hydrates are readily present in Typical Portland Cement concrete mixtures; the instant Aquron contacts them a chemical reaction occurs, which causes a transformation in Aquron from zero solids to 100% solids. The result is a highly complex colloidal silica hydrogel that fills the pore spaces and voids around aggregates and imbedded steel.
Aquron Maximises hydration for increased concrete strength as well as preventing ingress and migration of moisture and damaging corrosives.
The Aquron produced hydrogel is an extension of the naturally occurring gel and polymer strands produced by hydration of cement which are the binders holding concrete together.
