Envelon Polymeric Vinyl Coatings provide protection in two ways; by forming tough, flexible, films with extremely low water-vapor transmission rates, they stop substrate corrosion caused by electrolytic action or the presence of water-borne oxygen. In addition, the usually thick film provides physical protection against surface damage, abrasion or movement and have proven that they provide a high degree of protection against acid and alkali attack (list available).

Envelon Polymeric Vinyl Coatings are opaque, vinyl-based plastic coatings used to protect and beautify the roofs and sidewalls of masonry, concrete projects, brick or steel buildings and structures, tanks, storage bins, swimming pools and industrial equipments. In many respects they are comparable to the “liquid Envelope” so widely used for many years to “mothball” navy ships, planes, ordnance vehicles, bases and military installations the world over, except that these are tightly-adhering coatings rather than strip coatings. They are heavy solids, vinyl plastic coatings, containing resins, plasticizers, stabilizers, modifying agents and pigments in a volatile organic vehicle.
The ability of Envelon to withstand corrosive fumes has commended its use on exposed structural work, ducts, underside of roof areas and the walls and equipment in plating rooms, pickling rooms, electrolytic cell rooms, chemical plants and the like. A high thickness of Envelon has been very successfully used to seal leaking water storage systems, and when properly applied will expand and contract with the underlying surface without rupturing.
Envelon Polymeric Vinyl Coating has many advantages as a coating for use over asbestos cement, cement-faced insulating board, marine (waterproof) plywood, slate, corrugated iron, galvanised iron, steel deck, aluminium, copper or tin roofing. Because it is a continuous, all-over “skin”, it envelopes the structure or object completely; seals out moisture; caulks around openings; fills and covers cracks, and it does not tend to flake off, lift, craze or weather away and as these films are flexible and elastic from sub-zero to tropic temperatures, they expand and contract with the underlying surface to which they are applied.

Pigmented to the desired colour, Envelon provides a very attractive, smooth, continuos, non-glare surface that is very each to wash and hose down.
